In work and in play I have an eye for details and find great joy in applying that strength. That takes shape in many forms, from cultivating an energizing moring routine to seeking out challenging engineering problems with mission-driven people. The draw of mechanical problems is the possibility that an intersection of designed artifacts and a novel question can lead to a better world. With this in mind, I am curious and hands-on in my projects - always thrilled to learn something more.
I currently work as a mechancial design engineer at Plenty. I've had the pleasure of being involved here from the days of 20 people in a trailer exploring the possibilities of vertical farming technology through to today; where you can find our leafy greens in supermarkets across the Bay-Area and we are busy constructing our second production farm in Los Angles. When running, it will be the largest by yield indoor farm in the world.
Previously, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Stanford Product Realization Lab while completing my Masters in mechanical engineering. There, I supervised and advised 500+/yr students who used the maker lab while co-teaching Stanford's Manufacturing and Design course with faculty. In my Masters, I studied with a depth in mechatronics and expanded with a breadth in product realization.
Beyond all this, I love finding adventure! That comes in many forms, from climbing and skiing to tabletop role-playing games.
